We arrived so early to the L.A.M.B presentation we actually spent more time hanging out BEFORE the start than for the actual main event!!  It was that 1960′s feel we all know so well.  Models wore a bump (nearly a bee-hive) and posed before a collage of Twiggy and Edie clad images reminiscent of Worhol’s hayday. SNORE.  Don’t get me wrong… I LOVE those images. The inspiration is unarguable ,but, this was SO phoned in. Gwen didn’t even show up.  The 3rd model came out before the music even started.  VERY unprofessional. We left before the 6th look.

But dont Roxanne and I look CUTE!!

Before I left LA to NYC someone asked me “What shows are you most looking forward to seeing at NYFW?” my response was visceral it flowed from me almost without thought… “The one I don’t know about yet. The new designer I have never heard of who surprises me with some wow.”

Giulietta delivered! Sofia Sizzi only debuted this collection 1 year ago, and already I will name her the one to watch.

The collection inspired by the Visconti film The Leopard, staring our FAVORITE handsome and strapping 1960′s crush Alain Delon, is feminine with a genius color palate of browns, corals, grays, and breezy light blues.

Backstage the designer told me “this collection is special” – I agree, Sofia.

Fashion’s darling Alexander Wang’s F12 collection said “shut up” without uttering a word.

Many of the girls wore mesh turtle necks pulled up over their mouths…. LOVE!!!!

And for his big wow moment he brought back the super models of yesteryear Shalom Harlow and of today Mrs Tom Brady (pictured below).

September since I last posted?  For SHAME!!  Life has been so overwhelmingly busy I have not found the energy to post.  My dear friend Jane Reardon says :” I live my life.. I don’t post it”  Words I have been living by.

So, the question is.. do I fill in the blank past 6 months of living with a post or start fresh with today.  Fashion has the attention span of a goldfish so the fear of posting what is no longer fresh is a big no-no.  But hell- I have based my entire life on no-no’s so- I shall post whatever the F I  feel like.  ha.

NYFW F12 was the most thrilling for me yet.  It started with Rag and Bone and ended with Chris Benz.  And, in that meaty sandwich – Alexander Wang, Zac Posen, DVF, VPL, and my new obsession Giulietta!! (more about this one later)

It all started when  I was chatting with a few friends over brunch on New Year’s Eve day.  The topic: What IS a resolution.  The tension was thick as I insisted it would be based on the root word resolve which I thought meant to improve upon… but it is not.  I was wrong…It is the root word but I was dead wrong on the meaning. DEAD WRONG.

A few weeks ago I was invited by the creme de la creme of Hollywood parties Bryan Rabin to a fabulous screening of Carrie Fisher’s HBO special “Wishful Drinking”.

That in it’s self is enough to get my jaded and sedentary ass off the couch on a random Tuesday, and the good lord did shine his heavenly grace upon me on that fine night.
There we were, outside the entrance, chatting it up and smoking a cig, when who steps her elegant and athletic foot out of a black Jaguar but JANE FUCKING FONDA!!

I nearly fell over. I rarely get star struck but this star really whacked me across the face. A fitted leopard print blazer, fitted black slacks and a skinny little heal. The face… flawless…

Then of course Debbie Reynolds (MGM star and Carrie’s Mom) was looking magnificent and sparkling as ever. I am sure there were many many more celebs there but none that I could give a crap about. Not with those 2 legends milling about. No way!

Merry Christmas to ME!!!!!

Couldn’t care less about the rain… I am living for and living in these!!

Anyone who meets me more than once can tell you who I love and have loved for YEARS (I discovered him when I was 11) my long time love, my 1st love,  David Bowie.   I can honestly say “Hunky Dory” peppered with “The Rise and Fall Ziggy Stardust” saved my life for about 4 years straight (also known as high school). He is the one person who never lets me down.  Reality is he is not a person.  Well, let me elaborate on that… he of course IS a person, a human being with feelings and a life but all I know of him is his music.  And this is how I love “him”… his music. I don’t know him personally although I have several friends who have toured, performed, dined and hung with him.  I, however,  had the opportunity to meet him but declined.  I just knew he could never live up to the man I created from the sounds he created.  My fantasy of this perfect being who always knew the right thing to say poetically, artfully, articulately, perfectly.  He was always there when I needed him.  Never judged me and seemingly was always in an equal amount of pain as I was.  A poet expressing himself with the timber I felt into my bones. Which leads me to this…

I was at a party at the Chateau Marmont. A reading and book release for Cherry Vanilla’s “LICK ME” It was a fabulous party hosted by Bryan Rabin and Rufus Wainwright. (Rufus actually belted out 2 songs on the grand piano in the lounge which nearly smudged my eye liner).
I arrived and saddled up to the Dj area where Howie Pyro was spinning his usual mix of obscure and amazing.  I told him I was going to do a lap to take it all in when he grabbed my arm and with eyes as wide as his turn-tables gasped “ANGIE BOWIE”  I took a quick glance at the room and replied “plumage?” (there was a lady standing nearby with her back to me adorning a hat which to me looked like a dead bird dyed 5 shades of purple) “NO” he replied “silver shiny”

And silver shiny she was, still with her famous short hair dyed platinum and in a silver sequined dress I heard her voice booming over the music, cackling as she spun around the room or, more accurately, the back of the room.  I attempted to meet her when Michael Schmitt was in her clutch but that clutch was tighter than a death grip and I couldn’t get either of them to pay attention.  So I did another lap and when I returned saw Howie had caught her eye and the 2 of them were belly laughing and mumbling something about falling down (turns out Angie had spun Howie around and tripped on one of the low tables and the 2 of them tumbled on top of each other).  I looked at her an announced “I want to meet Angie Bowie”  To which she replied “You’re FOXY” engulfed me in silver sequins then released me as if we never met.  This picture is taken immediately after our embrace, and, she has NO idea I am hanging around her neck… she was already tracking on her next focus. Hilarious. And EXACTLY why I never want to meet David Bowie.



I find my hands are heavy as my heart while I write these words.  I am sorry, but I can no longer go on with you.  We have had seemingly endless bliss at times but for now I just can’t.  I need to explore other fabrics and silhouettes. Dresses and slacks need an equal chance. Leggings and tights… I am not trying to rub your nose in this but, we both know it is for the best.  I wish you all the greatest things this world has to offer. For now we must separate.  Someday , down the road, we might find our paths cross again. But for now this is adieu.
