It all started when I was chatting with a few friends over brunch on New Year’s Eve day. The topic: What IS a resolution. The tension was thick as I insisted it would be based on the root word resolve which I thought meant to improve upon… but it is not. I was wrong…It is the root word but I was dead wrong on the meaning. DEAD WRONG.
Allison Burns was right. A resolution is really just an announcement of intention. A mutual friend has resolved to use his thumb in lieu of his index finger when pressing the button on an elevator (as is the English way) to which I was arguing is NOT a proper new years resolution as it does not improve on anything. Allison has resolved to wearing more gray eyeshadow. The reason behind these flaccid resolutions… why make a resolution you can’t keep. Why not just aim a little lower so you can lift your head with pride all year as you follow through with your intention.
So here is a nice resolution for you to keep. My suggestion for a NEW YEAR’S INTENTION:
Clean your underwear drawer.
Easily done and can be completed as soon as you have the funds to purchase enough new unmentionables to last. And here is my gift to you… TEN
These elegant everyday undies fit low and perfect. 5 AMAZE-BALLS colors to choose from. The White and Navy for everyday wears and 3 crazy shades from tennis ball green to match tip orange for a sassy statement that’s understated.
So my suggestion, order up at least 3 pairs (to qualify for free shipping) then march over to your top drawer, lift it high over a bin and ceremoniously flip it over… for you have a new year, a new beginning and a new chance to look good straight down to your flesh.
